Q -When do we have to pay for our wedding?

A – Once your wedding ceremony is booked and confirmed you would need to pay wedding planner fees. Anglican Church ceremonies require a deposit to secure your date within a month of booking. Town Halls do not need deposits. Hotels do require deposits – amounts may vary dependant on your chosen venue. The remaining out-standing payments appropriate to your wedding day are to be paid upon your arrival to Cyprus pre-wedding.

Q. – We have already booked our ceremony venue but realise we need a wedding planner, can you help?

A –  We can carry on and take over to ensure that you can relax and leave your wedding in expert hands.  Wedding planner fees will apply.

Q. Can we choose the time and date of our wedding?

A. Date and time you choose and subject to availability at our chosen venue we shall do our best to get your required date and time. We would collect you from your hotel and usually the best part of a day is spent viewing, sometimes another day is necessary. We charge €50 and are more than happy to take you to see suitable venues for your ceremony and reception. If you then decide you would like to go ahead and book Zaffron wedding services; this amount is deducted from your wedding fee

We have not featured all our venues in this brochure, should you have an alternative venue in mind that does not appear in our website then please do let us know so that we can make further enquiries upon your behalf.

“We are not sure how many guests will attend”?

Not too worry at this stage, as long as we have an estimated idea of number of guests attending we can provide you with a breakdown of costs based on chosen venue and requirements and update your costs as your planning progresses.

“Do we have to register our marriage in the UK and will it be read in English”?

You do not have to register your marriage back in the UK and rest assured that your wedding is completely legal and recognised by UK law.

Regardless of chosen type of ceremony it will be performed in English and you will receive your wedding certificate also in English directly following the ceremony. Additional wedding certificates are available if required.

The reading of wedding bands does not apply in Cyprus.

“What documents do we need and do we need to send them in advance”?

We will assist you with all the relevant documents required in order for your marriage to go ahead in Cyprus. We will officially remind you approximately 3 months before the date of your wedding, as that it is now within the required time frame to go along to your solicitor to obtain your affidavits or in the case of Irish Nationals to obtain a Freedom to Marry certificate. The required documentation may vary depending on each couples individual status, for example widowed, divorced, single, change of name or non-British Nationals may apply there for we will advise on the correct documentation that applies to you as a couple.
